Roermondsplein
Arnhem, NL
From a barrier in the city to a meaningful place of connection.
The vision for Roermondplein offers spatial opportunities for the city of Arnhem in terms of accessibility, climate adaptation, socio-economic developments and the major housing task. The infrastructure does not seem the most obvious place for the development of homes and facilities. It forms
currently a barrier in the city with noise and safety challenges due to freight transport.
The vision transforms the infrastructure into a pleasant destination and connects existing neighborhoods to a new sustainable city of a high standard.
How to transform the infrastructure into public space and being a connector between different parts of the city?
A place that invites you to: meet, move, stay healthy, sport, learn and connect.
