On Saturday, 26 September 2026, TUMULT will officially open its doors in the heart of Groningen. The new building, designed by Koschuch Architects in collaboration with NEXT architects, brings music, theatre and visual arts together under one roof.

Formerly known as VRIJDAG, TUMULT offers a new place for art, culture and connection. With studios, workshops and performance spaces, the building provides room for artists and visitors while encouraging meeting, exchange and collaboration. The opening marks the beginning of a new chapter for art and culture in Groningen.
